Mayor Kota Young expressed his gratitude to both the Governor and KYTC officials for their commitment to working with rural areas.

Following the announcement of funds Mayor Young proposed drawing $49,500 in reserve funds for the purpose of additional paving.

He noted that the city currently has plans to pave 31 roads, with paving to begin sometime in September.

Mayor Young then asked for citizens’ patience, explaining that 2019 won’t be an outlier year for paving, eventually over the next several years every city maintained road would have paving updates.
