Caldwell First Responders Ready To Aid Dorian Victims

Emergency responders from Caldwell County and other are counties are set to provide help to those in need should Hurricane Dorian make landfall along the east coast.
Caldwell County EMS Paramedic Supervisor Sarah Cline tells the News Edge three individuals with Caldwell and Crittenden County EMS and other area counties  are members of ComCare’s ambulance strike team.

When weather forecasters believe there is the potential for a major disaster, Cline says they receive notice to be prepared to deploy.

Initially, she notes the strike team will go to a FEMA base camp, check-in and get all the information they need before being sent out on missions.

At this time, Cline says the five strike team ambulances are in multiple places along the coastline and the amount of time they will remain in those areas is undetermined.
