Sixth Annual Bluegrass on Beshear Music Fest Saturday

Bluegrass music lovers, community members, and families of all ages are being invited to the sixth annual Bluegrass on Beshear Music Fest this weekend.
Co-organizer Jeff Smith says that there is a bit of a change this year for the annual event that’s a life affirming music loving day of fun.

He adds that the event supports three pro-life crisis pregnancy centers that serve western Kentucky by raising money through the sale of concessions, which include hotdogs, hamburgers, smoked ham sandwiches, and new this year, Chick-fil-A chicken nuggets.

Smith notes that the event will support Door of Hope in Madisonville, H.O.P.E. Clinic out of Benton and Eddyville, and Alpha Alternative in Hopkinsville, but expresses that raising money isn’t the only thing they hope to achieve through the event.

Gates will open beginning at 11AM on Saturday with music to run from noon until 7PM with featured artists Bluegrass Revival, Classy and Grassy, Bright Life Farms Choir, Justamere Bluegrass Band, Waterfront Country Band, and Mike Thomas and Friends Southern Rock.
Smith states that the event will be held at 307 Island Cove Lane on the west fork of Lake Beshear off of Highway 672, near Dawson Springs, and volunteers will be available to transport attendees from the parking area to the venue. More information can be found online here or on Facebook.
