Name Released In Calloway Officer-Involved Shooting

Kentucky State Police is releasing the name of the man shot in an officer-involved shooting Saturday in Calloway County Saturday.

The man is identified as 42-year-old John D. Hale of Almo, Kentucky. State Police are still waiting for the autopsy results.

Hale was shot and killed around 1:30 Saturday when officers from the Calloway County Sheriff’s Department and a Murray Police Officer were investigating a report of a suspicious person. The altercation reportedly occurred on Radio Road in the Dexter community of Calloway County.

No officers were injured in the shooting. The names of the officers involved in the shooting are not being released at this time.
