Budget Amendment Concerning Police Grant Approved

A budget ordinance concerning a grant has been approved following action taken by the city council.
During a Princeton City Council meeting Monday night Mayor Kota Young reminded the city council of a budget amendment that concerned a one thousand dollar grant given to the Princeton Police Department by Walmart. Police Chief Chris King addressed the council stating that the funds would be used for school safety initiatives.
Following a roll call vote the budget amendment was unanimously approved.
Also during the meeting Mayor Young gave public thanks to all city departments who helped the third annual Trick-or-Treat on Main Street event operate smoothly.

Public Works Director David Sullenger then announced that the annual leaf pickup would begin around the middle of the month.

Sullenger asked that all city residents who wish to have their leaves picked up have them ready by November 18th and insisted that citizens remember to not place leaves in the street or on sidewalks.
