A Princeton cake artist, who received a chance of a lifetime to compete on the national stage, is thanking the local community for always believing in her talent and hard work.
Cathy Lewis, owner and baker at Cathy’s Confections, says being selected to compete on Food Network had always been a dream of hers, one she had applied for several times, but this year things changed.
She adds that the competition is along the same lines of Food Network’s popular Halloween Wars in which five teams of three cake artists and one sugar artist compete to win a large prize but participants do not know their teammates prior to competition.
Lewis notes that the support of the community around her helped her rally throughout the competition.
She states that she would be extremely interested in returning to compete again on Food Network.
The first episode of Holiday Wars will air on Sunday, December 1st at 8PM and will air each Sunday until Christmas on Food Network.
