Benton Woman Facing Additional Charges Following Issue at Jail

A Benton woman is facing additional charges following an incident at the jail Tuesday afternoon.

Princeton Police Chief Chris King reports that officers responded to a complaint at the county jail just after one. He adds that deputy jailers told officers they found pills on a prisoner that had been remanded to jail custody during a court hearing.

Officers then charged 48-year-old Lori J. Blades with first degree possession of a controlled substance, illegal possession of a legend drug, and second degree possession of a controlled substance.

Blades remains lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.
