One teenager was killed and another teen was flown to an Evansville hospital after a two-vehicle wreck in Madisonville Saturday afternoon.
The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office reports deputies responded to the crash at the intersection of Shakerag Road and Stagecoach Road shortly after 3:00.
According to deputies, 23-year old Aaron Lynn of Hanson was driving a pickup truck southbound on Stagecoach Road and 19-year old Cody Lloyd, also of Hanson, was crossing the intersection on Shakerag Road. Deputies say Lloyd’s car entered Lynn’s portion of the road, causing his truck to crash into the side of Lynn’s car.
Lloyd and a passenger in his vehicle, 18-year old Taelor Morse of Madisonville, were transported by ambulance to Baptist Health Hospital. Deputies say Morse later died of his injuries at the hospital and Lloyd was later flown to St. Vincent Hospital. The report shows Lynn was also hurt in the wreck but does not indicate if he was transported to a hospital.
The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate the collision.
