Inaugural Festival of Trees in Kuttawa December 7th

All in the community are being invited to attend a festive and fun event that will raise money for local charities.
Deb Domke, Executive Director of Lake Barkley Chamber of Commerce, says the inaugural Festival of Trees will be held on Saturday, December 7th in conjunction with the Kuttawa Christmas Festival. She adds that the Festival of Trees, which will be held at the pavilion in front of the Kuttawa City Hall, is a free event and public display of spectacular designed wreaths and trees from residents and businesses throughout the Lake Barkley community.
Domke states that attendees will have the opportunity to vote on their favorite entry during the public viewing that will begin at 2PM and can then purchase the winning item when it goes up for auction at 3PM. All monies raised from the sell of the tree or wreath will be returned to the donating entity for their charity of choice.
Domke notes that the Chamber will also feature an old fashioned baked good auction complete with soul warming hot cider and hot chocolate. The event will also showcase the Lyon County Line Dancers, Holiday music, and more. Domke’s hope is that the event will start a new community holiday tradition that will create a beautiful atmosphere for families to kick off the holiday season.
Entries are being accepted for trees, small, medium, and large, in addition to wreaths and home baked goods. For additional information about how to enter you can contact Deb Domke at 270-388-4769.
