Flash Flood Watch Issued For Saturday Afternoon/Night

The National Weather Service in Paducah has issued a Flash Flood Watch for portions of western and central Kentucky until midnight Saturday.
The watch includes;  Caldwell, Calloway, Christian, Hopkins, Lyon, Marshall, Muhlenberg, Todd, and Trigg counties.
Forecasters say recent rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches, with localized higher amounts have created saturated conditions across the region. Additional heavy rainfall will be possible this afternoon and evening, which could create flash flooding conditions.
They urge citizens to be prepared to move to higher ground if flooding develops and to not drive vehicles through flooded roadways.
Flash Flood Warnings can be issued at any time, where heavy rainfall is occurring. Your Weather Edge will keep you informed should any warnings be issued, locally.
