One Flooded Road Closure Reported In The Region


Despite some heavy rainfall in the last two days that caused some quick flooding around the region, most area roadways seem to be dry.

Emergency officials in Trigg County report Glenwood Mill Road is closed at the Hal Fennell Memorial Bridge due to water over the roadway and nearby debris. Dispatch in Caldwell, Christian, and Todd counties report no flooded roadways.
Over the last 48 hours, Kentucky Mesonet sites report over two inches of rain had fallen in Caldwell and Hopkins County, with less than two inches reported over the rest of the region.
Sunday’s weather will feature a high in the upper 40s with the temperature dropping throughout the day. Paducah National Weather Service forecasters say west winds will average around 20 mph, with gusts that could exceed 30 mph. Winds Sunday night will decrease gradually, but gusts may still be up to 30 mph with a chance of a few snowflakes, with no accumulation expected.
