Road Closure in Marion Saturday for Christmas Parade

Motorists who routinely travel through Marion need to be aware of a temporary closure this weekend.
Kentucky Transportation Cabinet spokesperson Keith Todd says that US Highway 60/Main Street in downtown Marion will be closed for approximately one hour on Saturday, December 7th for their annual Christmas parade. He adds that the closure will be from the intersection of US Highway 641 to the intersection with First Street beginning at 5PM.
Todd notes there will be no marked detour but passenger vehicles may self-detour via side streets, however there is no practical detour available for commercial trucks.
The Marion Police Department, Crittenden County Sheriff’s Department, and Crittenden County Rescue Squad personnel will provide traffic control during the closure of US Highway 60 for the parade.
