Local Baker Continues in Competition on Food Network’s Holiday Wars

A local baker who’s representing Princeton on national television has made it through another cut on Food Network’s holiday baking competition show, Holiday Wars.

Cathy Lewis, owner of Cathy’s Confections, says that her team, the Ginger Snappers, are normally very clean and detail oriented but strict time limits can lead to harsh judge’s comments.

She adds that she hopes to soon offer the tasting element made during the longer challenge, a dark chocolate and cherry granola bar, which was created by a teammate.

Lewis notes that her tasting element, Kentucky bourbon sugar cookies, which were featured in the first episode, were a great hit in Princeton last week and will be available again soon.

She states that she and her Ginger Snappers teammates, who won the overall challenge during Sunday night’s episode, will continue in the competition. You can spot them during the show by looking for the team in denim shirts and red aprons.
Next week’s new episode, “Santa’s New Gig,” will air at 8PM Sunday, December 15th on Food Network. For previous episodes or for more information about the competition show you can click here.
