Caldwell County USDA and Farm Services Agency officials say that the Conservation Reserve Program isn’t the only thing available to local farmers through their offices.
Executive Director Carla Harper says that Patricia Estes handles most of the base programs offered through the agencies as well as a few loan opportunities.
She adds that Shelly Ezell from Hopkinsville’s Farm Loan Team also comes to the Caldwell offices every Wednesday from 9AM until 3PM.
Harper also noted that farmers still have a few months to sign up for the Agriculture Loss Coverage (ARC) and Price Loss Coverage (PLC) programs.
