Lyon Sheriff’s Office Investigating Thefts From Vehicles

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office is alerting residents of multiple thefts from unlocked vehicles that occurred from around 5:30 Sunday night to around 5:00 Monday morning.
A post on social media says the information the sheriff’s office received indicates as many as three people or more may have been involved and their identities have not been confirmed as of yet, as the investigation continues. Authorities believe the offenders were driving in an unknown make/model vehicle whereby they would be dropped off or parked and then spread out. The offenders would then find unlocked vehicles in residential driveways and rummage through the vehicle stealing items. Authorities say the areas hit include portions of Old Eddyville area near Mobile Drive, Whippoorwill Drive and on Elkhorn Tavern Road, Heath Road, and Kings Ridge Court.
