A Christian County man is facing a Criminal Littering charge in Lyon County after complaints made earlier this week.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office reports they received word Thursday of an illegal dumping site off of KY 730 East from Judge/Executive Wade White’s office. Following an investigation, authorities charged 39-year old JD Shepherd, Jr., of Herndon Friday in connection to the incident.
They add Shepherd was hired as a contractor by a Lyon County homeowner, and instead of disposing the material at the convenience center, or other legal ways, he discarded construction debris in a wooded area on the side of Arrowhead Road.
The illegal dump site was cleaned up by the Lyon County Road Department.
