Budget Ordinance and Reappointments Approved at First City Council Meeting of 2020

A budget ordinance concerning changes in funds for the Princeton Police Department was among several acts of business approved at the first city council meeting of the new year.
During the meeting Mayor Kota Young reminded the council that the budget ordinance was simply moving funds from a separate account to the City’s General Fund.

Following a motion and a second the council unanimously approved the ordinance.
Mayor Young then proposed two reappointments to various city boards and commissions.

The council then unanimously approved the reappointment of Paul Hooks with terms to expire in October 2023.
City Clerk Julie Key then reminded those in attendance that the next regular session meeting would be held on Tuesday, January 21st due to the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. The meeting will begin at 5PM at the Tourism Center in downtown Princeton and is open to all in the public.
