Chief Francis notes that crews were able to contain the fire to the front of the structure and stayed on scene for over an hour to monitor for hotspots. He states that the home is considered a total loss due to heavy heat and smoke damage, which caused an estimated tens of thousands of dollars worth of damage.
While the fire is believed to have originated in the front of the home the cause is unknown.

Chief Francis reports that no one was inside the home at the time of the blaze but the homeowner had called 911 after they returned and noticed the smoke.
