LIHEAP Crisis Assistance Program Open Now

Those who have fallen on hard times, or those who haven’t been able to recoup from Christmas spending, or even those just needing a little bit of help are being reminded of a program that helps pay heating bills during the winter.
Caldwell County PACS CSBG Case Manager Nan Tackett says that their Low Income Heating Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) Crisis funding began at the beginning of the year.

She adds that the program can provide up to $400 for a single home.

Tackett notes that in order to qualify you do have to provide some income information.

She is encouraging everyone who just can’t quite get ends to meet, despite income levels, to check with her just in case, several could still qualify for the program.

For more information about the LIHEAP Crisis program or other assistance programs offered through the Pennyrile Allied Community Services (PACS) you can contact their Princeton office at 270-365-5097.
