Temporary Site Announced For Senior Center

The PACS Christian County Senior Center is relocating to the old Christian County Middle School on Glass Avenue in Hopkinsville after the facility was damaged during a severe storm Saturday morning.
PACS Aging Program Director Rachel Newman says the alternate site for the Senior Center will be in the cafeteria in the back of the school beginning next Tuesday, January 21, with hours of operation from 9 AM until 1 PM. She notes they will offer full congregate meals and all home-delivered meals will also be packaged out of this location for Christian, Caldwell, and Todd counties, which resumed Tuesday.
Newman says they will continue to have other activities at the old CCMS building except they were not able to take the pool tables. She notes walkers will be able to use the Sportsplex from Monday through Friday from 8:00 until Noon at no charge.
Newman says they miss the seniors and want to get them back into a socialization environment as soon as possible.
She also expressed her gratitude to the city and county officials that have been a huge asset for PACS to be able to accomplish these goals.
