PACS Transportation Available to All Ages

Have you recently found yourself without a ride but have somewhere to go? A local organization’s transportation department can help provide assistance.
According to the Pennyrile Allied Community Service website transportation is available, at a small cost, for all in the community, not just the elderly or disabled. The website indicates that if you are needing to schedule a ride with PACS, you can register at their self-service page and request a ride using their new online application. If you have never ridden with PACS, or do not want to use the self service option, you can still schedule a ride via phone.
According to the website’s rate sheet an in county trip costs $1.25 per mile per person with a three mile, or $3.75 minimum one-way trip, and out of county trips cost $1.50 per mile per person. One minor, ages zero to 17, may ride with a guardian free of charge but all additional passengers will be charged $1 per mile. The website also states that ADA Accessible Vehicles are available upon request and language assistance is provided at no cost.
All those wishing to schedule a ride by phone must do so at least 24 hours prior to the time you wish to be picked up. Those who live in Caldwell and Hopkins County can call 270-821-3232 or 270-821-9137. Those living in Lyon, Livingston, or Crittenden Counties can call 270-498-9332. Christian and Trigg County residents can call 270-886-7999.
