The George Coon Public Library is asking civic organizations, businesses, church groups, and even individuals to help them celebrate a program that provides a free book each month to children within the community.
Library Director Nichelle Faughn says that they will be celebrating the second birthday of having Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library within Caldwell County in May.
She adds that booth space will be open for those organizations or businesses whose focus is that of the age group, infant to 5 years old, as well as those who cater to young families or families with younger children.
Faughn notes that interested organizations or businesses can contact her in order to sign up.
She also states that currently they have over 350 children signed up for the program and is reminding everyone that it does take community involvement and help to keep the program going.
For more information about how you can donate, sign your child up for, or even to sign up for the birthday celebration you can contact the George Coon Public Library at 270-365-2884.
