2020 Rotary Speech Contest Connecting the World

Local high school students are being encouraged to take part in the annual Rotary Club Speech Contest in March.
Princeton Rotary Club Speech Contest Chair Geneva Malone says that this year’s theme is “Rotary Connect the World” and the local contest will be held Tuesday, March 3rd beginning at noon.

PRC Executive Secretary Melissa Earnest adds that the location of the speech contest is still to be determined.

She notes that the contest is open to every high school student in Caldwell County, regardless of where they attend.

Earnest is encouraging underclassmen to get involved with the contest because of the opportunities it provides.

Cash prizes will be awarded to those who place in the local contest, $100 for third, $200 for second, and $300 for first place, with winners having the possibility to advance.

For more information about the Princeton Rotary Speech Contest you can contact Melissa Earnest at 270-365-6273, email the Rotary Club at princetonrotaryclub@gmail.com, or contact their guidance counselor at their school.
