Community members within the local area are being reminded of an opportunity to hear an update from elected leaders on what’s happening in the nation’s capitol.
Lake Barkley Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Deb Domke says the Chamber will be hosting a Legislative Breakfast on Monday, February 17th from 7:30 until 8:30AM at the Lyon Convention Center in Eddyville. She adds that the featured speaker, United States Congressman James Comer, who represents Kentucky’s First District, will discuss a number of timely topics and will give an update on the ongoing War on Asian Carp. A short question and answer session will follow if time permits.
Domke notes that the event will include a buffet style breakfast provided by Chamber member, Our Daily Bread. She states while the event is open to the pubic, pre-registration and tickets are preferred. Tickets are $15 for Chamber members and $20 for non-Chamber members and must be purchased by February 12th.
