Police Chief Responds to Non-Injury Collision Involving School Superintendent and Bus

Princeton Police Chief Chris King has responded to reports of a non-injury collision involving a school bus and Caldwell County School Superintendent Nate Huggins.
Chief King states that following investigation he found no inconsistencies or discrepancies between Huggins’ report and the report issued from the responding officer. He added that Superintendent Huggins did everything that was statutorily correct during the situation.

Superintendent Huggins released a statement Thursday in which he explained that he was driving a bus Monday because they were down several bus drivers and unfortunately side-swiped another vehicle, tearing a mirror off and leaving a scratch down the vehicle’s front fender.

Superintendent Huggins added that while he did break board policy he did so in the best interest of the students involved.

Chief King notes that he saw no wrongdoing nor malicious intent in the incident and indicated there will be no charges.
