Princeton Woman Facing Wanton Endangerment and Drug Charges

A Princeton woman is facing wanton endangerment and drug charges following an incident involving a minor last week.
According to a Princeton Police report released Tuesday officers responded to a complaint of a small child walking in the street near the intersection of Maple and Downs Streets just after one Friday afternoon. The report states that officers were able to locate the child and then located the mother inside a nearby residence allegedly smoking marijuana.
The mother, Haleigh K. Merrick, was cited to court on charges of second degree wanton endangerment, possession of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia buying or possessing.
Social Services were also notified to investigate the incident as well.
