Princeton Woman Facing Wanton Endangerment

A Princeton woman is facing wanton endangerment charges following an incident involving a minor Thursday.

Princeton Police Chief Chris King reports that officers responded to a complaint of an unsupervised child near the roadway in the 700 block of Varmint Trace Road just before two. He adds that when officers arrived they located the two-year-old child wearing no pants, shoes, or socks.

Chief King states that investigation revealed the caretaker, 27-year-old April Spann, had fallen asleep and did not the know the child was gone.

Spann was cited to appear in court on a charge of first degree wanton endangerment.

Social Services was notified of the incident and the child was then returned to the mother.
