Funeral services for Shirley Beaver Fritz, age 83 of Princeton, formerly of Bear Creek North Carolina, will be held Monday afternoon at one at Morgan’s Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Hopkinsville.
Visitation will be held Monday morning from ten until service time at the funeral home.
Shirley was a member of Southside Baptist Church where she taught High School Senior’s Sunday school and was a member of the choir. She was a former member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Hopkinsville. She was also an All-State Basketball player in North Carolina and later a college cheerleader for Bethel College. She was named “Teacher of the Year” at Millbrook Elementary School in Hopkinsville, was member of Caldwell County Retired Teachers, Friends of the Library, an HR Ministries Coach and a Sonshine Tuesday Leader. Shirley was also a supporter of Read Across America and King’s Kitchen and sat on the Caldwell Medical board for 14 years. She was a loving mother and devoted wife.
She is survived by her husband: Bob Fritz of Princeton; one daughter: Robyn Cole Fritz of Henderson; one son: James Robert Fritz of Los Angeles; one sister: Alicia Beaver Kidd and husband, Jimmy, of Bear Creek, NC; one brother: Jay Carr Beaver and wife, Judy, of Pittsboro, NC; one brother-in-law: John Glosson of Pittsboro NC; one sister-in-law: Helen Stone Beaver of Bear Creek, NC and several nieces and nephews.
