Officials Declare Friday ‘WPKY Appreciation Day’

Local elected officials have declared Friday, March 13th, to be WPKY Appreciation Day.
At a Caldwell County Fiscal Court meeting Tuesday morning Judge/Executive Larry Curling read a proclamation, signed by himself, Princeton Mayor Kota Young, and Fredonia Mayor Jimmy Don Seibert, that expressed the importance of having the local radio station.

Judge Curling went on to state that the local community wouldn’t be the same without WPKY and again thanked the station for all they have done in the past and for what they’ll do in the years to come.
WPKY will have an anniversary celebration Friday from 8AM until noon at the station, which is located at 1035 West Main Street in Princeton. All in the community are invited to stop by for a special time of reflection, to share your memories of WPKY today and yesterday, and also enjoy a piece of yummy cake!
Everyone at WPKY would like to extend our great thanks to the community for an amazing 70 years!! We are looking forward to continuing to serve the community for another 70 more!
