Second Night of 49th Annual Optimist Club Radio Auction Successful

The second night of the 49th Annual Princeton Optimist Club Radio Auction was just as successful as the first and club members are optimistic for the remainder of the week.
Longtime club member Roy Gene Rogers says that the club raised about $1,381, to slightly outmatch Monday night’s totals, during the second night of the auction, which is held in the Butler Gymnasium in downtown Princeton.

He adds that all the proceeds from this week’s auction will go back to the youth of this community. Most of the proceeds will go to support the Optimist Club’s scholarship fund which provides scholarships to graduating seniors in Caldwell and Lyon counties. The funds also go to support other youth activities throughout both counties.

Rogers notes that donations, monetary or otherwise, will be accepted throughout the week. Members of the Optimist or Kiwanis Clubs will be at the Butler Gymnasium beginning at noon each day through Friday.

The 49th Annual Princeton Optimist Club Radio Auction continues Wednesday through Friday night following the 5PM news. The number to call this year is 270-365-5866 and will be aired live here at WPKY 103.3FM/1580AM, online here, and on the WPKY App.
