Third Night Of 49th Annual Optimist Radio Auction Another Hit

The third night of the 49th Annual Princeton Optimist Club Radio Auction included intense bidding wars and even tied up phone lines.
Longtime club member George Kilgore says that the club raised about $1,402 from the sale of 65 items during the third night of the auction, which is held in the Butler Gymnasium in downtown Princeton.

He adds that the Optimist Club is extremely grateful for all those in the community who help make the radio auction successful, even those who bid but don’t purchase items.

Kilgore is also reminding the public that a lot of the proceeds from this week’s auction will go to support the club’s scholarship fund, which provides scholarships to graduating seniors in Caldwell and Lyon counties. Funds also go to support other youth activities throughout both counties throughout the year.
The 49th Annual Princeton Optimist Club Radio Auction continues Thursday through Friday night following the 5PM news. The number to call this year is 270-365-5866 and will be aired live here at WPKY 103.3FM/1580AM, online at wpkyonline.com, and on the WPKY App.
