Caldwell County Extension Office Offering New Ways to Participate in Classes

The Caldwell County Extension Office is introducing fun and interactive new classes that you can participate in from your home as recommendations to continue to socially distance yourself increase.
Joni Phelps, SNAP Ed Senior Assistant, says that currently the Extension Office is working to still meet the needs of the local community.

She adds that she’s recently created a new Facebook page to help the public stay optimistic and keep up with their nutrition.

Phelps notes that she will also be offering cooking classes in a whole new way.

She states that while the schools are closed they are working to still deliver food to those students who participate in the “Feeding God’s Children” Backpack Program.

The Caldwell County Extension Office is currently still open to the public but most of their classes and events have been postponed or moved to online streaming services. For more information you can contact the Extension Office at 270-365-2787.
