Caldwell County Emergency Management Continuing to Reassure Public Amid COVID-19 Concerns

The Caldwell County Office of Emergency Management is again reassuring the public amid confirmation of coronavirus (COVID-19) in western Kentucky.
Emergency Management Coordinator Joey McCaslin says that needed medical supplies, as well as food and essential goods, are still coming into the county.

He adds that while governmental and medical officials are recommending citizens adhere to social distancing procedures most businesses are still open, things are just operating in a different way.

McCaslin also states community members need to follow recommendations about social distancing and refrain from large gatherings, such as church services.

He notes that county and state officials will continue to keep the public updated with accurate information.

County officials are also encouraging community members to check in on their neighbors, especially those who are elderly or shut in, by calling them and making sure they have the things they need. If any senior or shut in needs help getting groceries, prescriptions, or any other necessity, you can call Princeton City Hall at 270-365-9575.
