Bill Hobby, 85, of Princeton

Private services will be held for Bill Hobby, age 85, of Princeton.
Bill was a retired printer for the Caldwell County Times & Princeton Times Leader, a former bus driver for Pennyrile Allied Community Services, and a member of Northside Baptist Church. He also held several offices in and faithfully coached Youth Inc. basketball, baseball, softball, and football teams; achieving numerous awards, and winning seasons and championships with his players. In 1974, Bill was awarded as the “Tiger Booster of the Year” for his outstanding contribution to the high school football program. He was a Kentucky Colonel and was awarded by the Woodmen of the World Life Insurance Society in 1975 for his work with the youth of the community and was also awarded the Kiwanis Citizen of the Year.
He is survived by his wife: Barbara Oliver Hobby; one daughter: Rhonda Hawkins and husband, Eddy; one son: Mike Hobby and wife, Pam; three grandchildren: Brett Hawkins, Lindsey Lynn, and Seth Willis; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
