Kentucky saw its single largest increase in confirmed COVID-19 cases, as reported by Governor Andy Beshear during his Thursday afternoon update.
The governor reports there are 248 confirmed cases, including two previously reported presumptive positive cases from Christian County and one case each in Calloway and Hopkins counties.
Governor Beshear also put out a plea to local officials to very closely monitor public parks and other areas where congregations could form to make sure people are following social distancing guidelines.
He adds they will give the same authority to the state park officials.
Governor Beshear also encourages all state residents to complete their 2020 U.S. Census survey while at home. He says it’s very important to determine federal funding and other important things for the Commonwealth.
Very good news! We just received a call and after reviewing it further, the 90-year-old Perry County nursing home resident has tested negative for #COVID19.
