Severe Storms Possible Tonight

The region is still under an enhanced risk for severe weather later this evening through the early morning hours Thursday.
During an afternoon conference call, Warning Coordination Meteorologist Rick Shanklin says there are several threats that could come with these storms.

Shanklin adds the risk for tornadoes remains low.

Shanklin says the Pennyrile region could see storms anywhere from 6:00 to midnight. He adds storms could last until 1:00 Thursday morning but will push out of the region fairly quickly. After the storms move through, the weather will turn cooler, with an expected low to reach around 50 and a high Thursday near 60.
