“Healthy Choices” Virtual Classes Offered Through Caldwell Extension Office

Staying home and binge eating on the couch sounds like the perfect thing to do while you’re staying “healthy at home” but an even better thing to do is take advantage of virtual resources through the Caldwell County Extension Office that promote healthy eating and nutrition and provide opportunities for fun activities to do with the whole family.
Senior SNAP Ed Assistant Joni Phelps says she is still available to help with all of your nutrition needs.

She adds that soon she will launch a Facebook Live group called “Healthy Choices” that will include lessons on healthy eating, cooking demonstrations, and more.

Phelps also states that while they may not get to have in-person canning classes, home gardeners and those who love farm fresh fruits and vegetables will still be able to access canning resources through the Extension Office.

For more information about the “Healthy Choices” Facebook Live lessons, canning recipes, and other resources concerning healthy living and nutrition you can contact Joni Phelps at 270-365-2787 or visit Caldwell County Nutrition Information Program on Facebook.
