Another New COVID-19 Case Confirmed In Trigg County

Another new coronavirus (COVID-19) case has been confirmed in Trigg County.

Pennyrile District Health Department spokesman Josh Ramage tells the News Edge the new case was confirmed Wednesday morning and involves a 16-year old male who is isolated at home.
Ramage says the health department currently has over 40 confirmed COVID-19 cases in their district.

Trigg County Judge-executive Hollis Alexander said the latest case involving the 16-year-old is related to a previous case reported last week. He added the county’s fifth and seventh case involving teens announced in the past week are related to each other but not to the latest case announced Wednesday.
The case confirmed in Trigg County Wednesday morning brings the total number of cases to nine with four of those cases confirmed in the past week.
The first COVID-19 case in Trigg County was confirmed on April 4.
