Local election officials are reminding residents early voting will be available beginning this week for those concerned about casting their vote via absentee ballot.
Caldwell County Clerk Toni Watson says in order to keep lines down and waiting at a minimum for in-person voting on Election Day the courthouse basement will be open for early voting beginning Friday, June 5th at 10AM.
She adds the courthouse will also be open for early voting on Saturday June 13th and 20th from 8:30AM until 4PM and is asking anyone who may wish to come and cast their vote during early voting times to use the handicap accessible door, which is located on the north side of the courthouse.
Watson states there will also be voting locations set up throughout the county for those who may not be able to get to the courthouse.
She explains the voting process will be the same as it would be on Election Day.
