Over 300 COVID-19 Cases Confirmed in KY Saturday

Governor Andy Beshear announced 319 new COVID-19 cases Saturday afternoon.
In a news release, the governor reported 65% of the cases were confirmed in Jefferson County. The statewide cases total now sits at 11,287. Governor Beshear also confirmed 4 new deaths, including a 70-year old female from Logan County, with the number of deaths sitting at 470. Saturday afternoon’s update included 3,344 recoveries.
Throughout the week, the governor consistently reminded residents that the novel coronavirus is still in our midst and we need to take precautions to prevent its spread. State health officials are asking all Kentuckians to keep gatherings to 10 or fewer people.
Other guidance includes wearing masks, maintaining social distancing of six feet or more, gathering outside instead of inside, among others.
