Rodney “Rod” Myron Polk, Jr., 48, of Lexington

Celebration of Life services for Rodney “Rod” Myron Polk, Jr., age 48, of Lexington, formerly of Kuttawa, will be held Friday morning at eleven at Lakeland Funeral Home in Eddyville.
Memorial visitation will be held Thursday evening from four until eight at the funeral home.
Rod was a graduate of the University of Kentucky and was employed at Astra Zeneca Pharmaceutical. He was a member of Southland Christian Church in Nicholasville. He enjoyed family activities, UK basketball, hiking, horse racing, travel and photography.
Survivors include his wife: Corbitt Carter Polk of Lexington; parents: Rodney M. Polk and Betty Smith Polk of Kuttawa; two daughters: Addison “Addie” Clarabelle Polk and Malena Ruby Polk; one sister: Angela “Angie” Polk Lee and husband, Bruce, of Kuttawa; one niece: Victoria Lee Shewcraft and husband, Keaton, of Marion; one nephew: Austin D. Lee of Atlanta; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
During this difficult time friends and family can show their support by joining the “Hugs from Home” program where heartfelt messages will be attached to a balloon in the chapel to remind the family of their love and support. Hugs must be sent by Wednesday evening at five and can be sent by visiting lakelandchapel.com.
