Crews to Continue Paving in Princeton Friday

Over thirty streets have been paved in just a weeks time and crews are moving forward with plans to be complete with the entire project in just under a month.
Princeton Mayor Kota Young says Hillview Court was completed by mid-morning and crews will be completing East and West Locust, East and West Shephardson, North Harrison, and North Franklin streets by the end of the day Thursday. He adds crews will pave Beshear Lane, Baker Hill Road, and the parking lot at the City-County Park on Friday.
Mayor Young is asking that all vehicles normally parked in the roadway during daylight hours be moved by early Friday morning and notes vehicles will be towed if an owner can not be found to move them.
The massive paving project aims to pave 78 city streets before the end of summer and has been made possible due to lower material cost spurred by the coronavirus pandemic and an already considerable budget allocation.
