Beshear Asking Residents to Stick Together As Pandemic Continues

Governor Andy Beshear confirmed nearly 70 new COVID-19 cases Sunday afternoon.
According to the governor’s office, 67 cases were announced, meaning that 15,232 coronavirus cases have been reported in Kentucky. Additionally, Beshear confirmed four new deaths, adding that 558 residents have lost their lives due to the virus.
Governor Beshear praised the people of Kentucky for coming together as Team Kentucky and said with cases rising quickly in states like Florida and Texas, we all must continue to do that right thing. Beshear added, “We came together, we put aside our divisions and we not only flattened, we crushed that curve and protected other Kentuckians.”
He notes, “In the coming weeks and months, we’re going to be tested again about whether we truly can be Together KY and Team Kentucky once again. I know we’re up for it.”
