George Coon Public Library Still Continuing Virtual Programs

Even though the George Coon Public Library is open to the public in limited capacity officials are reminding the public that the Summer Reading Program and Scholastic Book Fair are still being conducted via virtual platforms.
Director Nichelle Faughn says the Summer Reading Program kicked off at the beginning of June through the app Beanstack but those interested can still join in on the fun.

She adds special activities normally held at the library for the program are also being held virtually through their Facebook page, the next of which will be Thursday. The presentation will feature “Animals, Myths, and Truths” from the Land Between the Lakes’ Woodlands Nature Station and will be available for viewing beginning at 10AM.
Faughn notes because the Scholastic Book Fair has moved to an online portal community members can continue to shop throughout the entire summer.

She states the Scholastic Book Fair link shared on Facebook, and also found here, assures all funds go to the George Coon Public Library.

For more information, or if you would like to sign up for the Summer Reading Program, you can contact the George Coon Public Library at 270-365-2884.
