Heat and humidity will continue to be a part of the forecast for at least the next week.
Weather Edge forecaster David Powell says highs will be in the upper 80s and lower 90s through Friday.
He adds due to a stalled out cold front to our north, an increased chance for showers and thunderstorms is possible Monday and Tuesday.
Powell says the only thing that may bring some temporary relief from the hot temperatures is anything that forms in the tropics and head our way.
