Hot and humid weather will continue through the weekend with daily chances of rain and thunderstorms through Saturday afternoon.
Weather Edge forecaster David Powell says highs through Monday will be in the upper 80s to lower 90s, with lower heat index values because of increased cloudcover through Saturday.
One thing Powell is keeping an eye on now is the tropics.
Powell expects a small cool down beginning Tuesday or Wednesday next week that will bring some temporary relief.
