Lyon County Grand Jury Returns Indictment on Princeton Man

37-year-old Joshua I. Fowler

The Lyon County Grand Jury returned an indictment on a Princeton man Monday for several drug related charges.
The grand jury returned an indictment on 37-year-old Joshua I. Fowler on charges of third degree criminal trespassing, first degree possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia. The charges stem from an incident March 16th in which the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office responded to a trespassing complaint off of Highway 93, about 11 miles south of Eddyville. The sheriff’s office states the property owner lead deputies to the suspect, later determined as Fowler, who was digging on the property.
Fowler reportedly told deputies he was digging up an earthquake fault line and appeared to be under the influence of intoxicants. Fowler, who did not have permission to be on the property, was then placed under arrest for trespassing. A search of his person then revealed a bag of suspected methamphetamine.
Fowler is currently lodged in the Caldwell County Jail on unrelated charges.
