Princeton Man Killed in Two-Vehicle Accident Involving Motorcycle Friday

A Princeton man was killed in a two vehicle accident involving a motorcycle near Dawson Springs over the weekend.
Kentucky State Police Post 2 Public Information Officer Trooper Rob Austin states Troopers responded to reports of a vehicle striking a motorcycle on KY 672 near Grove Cemetery just before nine Friday night. He adds preliminary investigation revealed 30-year-old Dustin Brashear, of Nebo, was operating a 1993 Geo Tracker eastbound on KY 672 when 54-year-old Ricky Pitt, of Princeton, turned into Brashear’s path on a 1999 Harley Davidson motorcycle. Brashear was unable to stop in time and his vehicle struck Pitts’ motorcycle.
Pitt was flown to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville where he later succumbed to injuries sustained in the collision. Dustin Brashear was uninjured during the incident.
The investigation is ongoing by Accident Reconstructionist Trooper Brian Graves.
Kentucky State Police were assisted at the scene by the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office, Princeton Fire and Rescue, Caldwell County EMS, and Air Evac.
