Pennyrile District Health Department Reports 8 New COVID-19 Cases Friday


The Pennyrile District Health Department reported eight new coronavirus cases and released updated active case numbers throughout the five county district Friday.
According to the health department 38 of Caldwell County’s 127 cases are currently active, 37 of which are recovering in their own homes while one is hospitalized. The county’s remaining 89 cases have recovered. No new cases were confirmed on Friday.
The health department announced four new cases in Trigg County, that of a 69-year-old male, 27-year-old male, 52-year-old female, and a 73-year-old male, who are all isolated at home. Trigg County now has 154 total cases, 44 of which are currently active, with four of those hospitalized. The county’s remaining 109 cases have recovered.
Crittenden County reported one new case Friday, that of an 83-year-old female, who is isolated at home and brings the county’s total case number to 121. Currently Crittenden County has 30 active cases and has reported three virus related deaths with the remaining 89 cases having recovered.
The health department also announced one new case in Lyon County, that of a 69-year-old male who is isolated at home and now brings the county’s total case number to 69. Of that number only 26 are currently active, one of which is hospitalized. Five deaths have been reported in Lyon County since the pandemic began and the county’s remaining 38 cases have recovered.
Livingston County also reported two new cases Friday, that of a 66-year-old female and an 18-year-old female, who are both recovering in their own homes. The new cases bring Livingston County’s total case number to 77, of which 19 are active, including two who are hospitalized. Livingston County has reported one virus related death and the county’s remaining 57 cases have recovered.
