A private graveside service and a memorial service will be held at a later date for Butch Shanklin, age 57, of Princeton.
Butch had a deep love for the Lord. He enjoyed playing guitar and doing magic tricks but most of all he enjoyed being called “Papa” and spending time with his grandchildren.
Butch is survived by his wife of 21 years, Melinda Shanklin; two sons, Matt Watkins and wife Tya, of Cadiz and David Watkins and wife Marilu, of Texas; two sisters, Joan Clemons and JoEllen Stephens, both of Crofton; one brother, Thomas “Buddy” Shanklin, of Bowling Green; two grandchildren, Kristopher and Alexandria Watkins; several nieces and nephews. Butch is preceded in death by his parents Pat and Lucille Hargis Shanklin.
Morgan’s Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
